| Total Home Renovation Minnehaha Creek, Edina Challenge: The new owners loved the creekside setting. The house? Not so much. The interior of this “unique” two-sided, smaller house connected by a “bridge” suffered from years of ill-advised and amateur re-dos and “renovations.” The shell had to be preserved, but the interior almost completely gutted and rebuilt from scratch. Goal: Rebuild the interior so that it was reminiscent of the “not-so-big” model while taking better advantage of the naturally beautiful view. Solution: Christo and his team gutted and rebuilt the entire first floor and basement interior, moving and rebuilding the staircase and repairing structural damage to create the smaller, more intimate and functional spaces the family craved. A two-sided fireplace between the ultra-modern yet cozy kitchen and dining room; custom, built-in cabinetry in every room and large picture windows that showcase the beautiful surroundings are a few of the “details” that make this “not-so-big” house a big deal. “Christo has genuine integrity and I trust him to ensure that everything is done right – he’s on site every day even if I’m not there. I was in the hospital during our total home remodel and he went out of his way to bring blueprints to me so I could review them. He has great solutions to problems, big and small, and we are always very pleased with the results. He’s just very, very good.” — Snow and Chris M., Repeat Clients |
